During the automatic whitelisting period (November 10, 2023 until (T1) xxx 2024), Non-GSMA approved mobile devices with unidentified or cloned IMEI codes were registered in IMEI.KG system with the condition of linking the IMEI code(s) of the device to the subscriber number(s).

As a result, subscribers who own mobile devices with unidentified or cloned IMEI codes will only be able to normally use their devices with their specific number that was linked to their IMEI code(s) during the automatic whitelisting period.

In cases where it is necessary to change the subscriber number linked to the IMEI code(s) of a mobile device that has been registered in the IMEI.KG system during the automatic whitelisting period, the IMEI code(s) will work with the new subscriber number for 3 days during which the subscriber must perform a SWITCH NUMBER to continue using his IMEI code(s) with the new number. It will be required to contact the Mobile Network Operator, or do it yourself via the SWITCH NUMBER feature by dialing the USSD menu on *5656# and following the instructions:
step 1: from the new subscriber number that you want to link to the device, dial *5656#
step 2: From the USSD pop-up menu, choose option number 3 to perform the Switch Number
step 3: Fill in the required fields: the old number that was used with this device IMEI, and the new number you are trying to link
step 4: Confirm. A successful Switch Number confirmation pop-up will be displayed.
This device IMEI will only work now with the new number.
